Description:
GradEast welcomes applications for 3 visiting PhD studentships in Copenhagen
within linguistics, modern languages and related areas.
The studentships:
GradEast will be able to cover costs of accommodation and tuition/supervision
fees for three non-Danish PhD students in the spring or autumn semester 2009.
The relevant periods run from mid-January to 30th June and mid-August to
mid-December. Applications are invited for a full semester or any part thereof
longer than 2 months. It is a requirement that applicants should already be
enrolled as PhD students at their home institution.
Application:
The application must contain the following:
- Description of the applicant's research project
- Description of activities/supervision intended while in Copenhagen
- Period of stay proposed
- Affirmation of status as PhD student from the home institution, including a
letter of recommendation by principal supervisor.
Selection will be based on merits and the match between the project/activities
and the research environments of the three institutions of GradEast.
Applicants will be informed of the result by 1st December 2008

*GradEast is a graduate school of theoretical and applied linguistics, set up
and run jointly by the University of Copenhagen, the University of Roskilde and
the Copenhagen Business School. The school currently has more than 40 PhD
students covering most areas of linguistics and modern languages. See our
