School of Languages, Linguistics and Film
The German Department, School of Languages, Linguistics and Film is pleased to
announce one Research Studentship to be awarded to a suitably qualified
candidate (UK, EU or Overseas) applying for an M.Phil/PhD. The studentship is
funded by the Leverhulme Trust and covers tuition fees and maintenance at the
London rate. The studentship is to be awarded by January 2009. Holders of
research studentships in the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film will have
the opportunity to teach up to a maximum of 4 hours per week.
Applicants should have an MA or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
The thesis will contribute to the project "The Discourse of German Nationalism
and Antisemitism 1871-1924", funded by the Levehulme Trust and based at Queen
Mary, University of London and University College London. Details of this

The completed application form, two academic references, a substantial piece of
written work (about 5,000 words in English or German) and a 300-500 word thesis
