Description:
The Graduate Institute of Linguistics at National Chung Cheng University in
Chiayi, Taiwan, is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in
sociolinguistics or historical linguistics, subspecialty open.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by July 31, 2009 in order to be
appointed to the position by August 1, 2009. Salary will be commensurate
with rank and previous teaching and research experience. Qualified
candidates will be considered for promotion to the next higher rank.
Please send the Search Committee your letter of application, curriculum
vitae, statement of research goals, list of courses that you would be able
to offer, copies of major publications, and list of three referees
(referees should mail their letters of recommendation directly to the
Search Committee).
We will give strong preference to applications received by December 15,
2008, but applications will continue to be accepted until the positions are
filled.
