Los integrantes del Proyecto de ALFAL Cuestiones Lingüísticas en Relación con la
Diáspora Latinoamericana proponen continuar las actividades del Proyecto en un
ALFALito, que tendrá lugar en la ciudad de Nueva York los días 24 y 25 de
setiembre de 2009, en el Centro de Estudios de Post-Grado (Graduate Center) de
la City University of New York (CUNY). La coordinadora de la jornada será Rocío
Raña Risso, quien también organizó la sesión en nuestro congreso en Montevideo
el pasado agosto. Los organizadores, además de Rocío, serán los profesores
Michael Newman y Ricardo Otheguy, de la misma CUNY.

El ALFALito será patrocinado por los programas de lingüística y de lingüística
hispánica (Ph.D. Program in Linguistics, Ph.D. Program in Hispanic &
Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages), así como por el Research Institute
for the Study of Language in Urban Society (RISLUS), también de CUNY. Las
actividades de la jornada se llevarán a cabo en español o en portugués.
