Abstract:

This volume contains 16 papers selected from the 39th Annual Conference on
African Linguistics (ACAL 39), hosted by the University of Georgia in
Athens in April 2008. The papers are organized into sections on historical
linguistics, morphology and syntax, phonology and phonetics, and
