First Postgraduate Conference ESGHT2010
We invite postgraduate students from the fields of Tourism, Management,
Languages and ICT to present papers at the First Postgraduate Conference ESGHT
2010 on Friday, 25th June 2010 on topics related to their current research area.
Call for Papers
Submission guidelines for papers
We are particularly interested in papers in the following areas:
Tourism
- Tourism Marketing
- Sociology of Tourism
- Psychology of Tourism
- Cultural Tourism
Management
- Financial Management and Taxation
- Human Resources Management
- Quality Management
Languages
- Applied Linguistics
- Literacy studies
ICT (applied to Tourism, Management or Languages)
Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and should be submitted via e-
mail attachments (Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format files). Abstracts should
not include the author's name or any other identifying information. Abstracts
will be reviewed anonymously.
Abstracts should include:
1. The title of the paper
2. A list of 3-5 key words describing the area and focus
3. The research focus
4. The research methodology
5. A brief summary of findings (if applicable)
6. A short list of key references
The e-mail message accompanying the abstract should contain the following
information:
1. The name(s) of the author(s)
2. Author(s) affiliation(s)
3. The title of the paper
4. One (or more) of the above research subareas
5. A brief bio-data of the author (up to 40 words)
6. Home address
7. The author's e-mail address
8. The author's phone number
9. Audiovisual equipment required (besides computer and projector which
will be supplied)
Submission Deadline
Abstracts must be received by 15 February 2010
Authors will be notified of acceptance by 31 March 2010

Publication
After the conference, participants will be invited to submit their papers in
written form (3500 - 4000 words, including references) for publication in one
of the following ESGHT journals: Encontros Científicos and Dos Algarves.
Papers will be peer reviewed.
