New Book Series on Anthropological Linguistics from John Benjamins Publishing.
Culture and Language Use: Studies in Anthropological Linguistics
John Benjamins Publishing and the Editor, Gunter Senft, are pleased to
announce a new scholarly book series in the field of Anthropological
Linguistics entitled "Culture and Language Use: Studies in Anthropological
Linguistics." The series publishes monographs and edited collections,
culturally oriented grammars and dictionaries in the cross- and
interdisciplinary domain of anthropological linguistics or linguistic
anthropology. The series offers a forum for anthropological research based
on knowledge of the native languages of the people being studied and that
linguistic research and grammatical studies must be based on a deep
understanding of the function of speech forms in the speech community under
study. Volumes in the series will be written in English.
Editor: Gunter Senft, Max-Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen
ISSN: 1879-5838
Forthcoming title: "New Perspectives on Endangered Languages: Bridging gaps
between sociolinguistics, documentation and languages," edited by José
Antonio Flores Farfán and Fernando Ramallo.
