The eighth Syntax and Semantics Conference in Paris (CSSP 2009) will take place
on September 23-25, 2009 at Université Paris-Sorbonne. 

Call for Papers

Invited Speakers:
Chris Barker (New York University)
Robert Borsley (University of Essex)
Lisa Matthewson (University of British Columbia)
Alain Rouveret (Université Paris Diderot - Paris 7)

The Conference welcomes papers combining empirical inquiry and formal
explicitness. CSSP aims at favoring comparisons between different theoretical
frameworks. 

CSSP conferences combine a general session and a thematic session.
Submissions for the general session may address any topic on:
- syntax, 
- semantics, 
- or the syntax-semantics interface 
The thematic session will focus on Evidentiality

CSSP 2009 invites submissions for 20-minute presentations (plus 10-minute
discussions). Abstracts should be at most 2 pages in length (including examples
and references) written in French or English. The same person may submit at most
one abstract as a sole author and one as a co-author. Preference will be given
to presentations that are not duplicated at other major conferences.

Abstracts will be refereed anonymously by an international selection committee.
They should be submitted through the Easychair system, at the following address:

Academy of Aphasia Annual Meeting 

Call for Papers

The Academy of Aphasia Annual Meeting will be held at the Omni Parker House
Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, October 18-20, 2009.  The Academy welcomes
submissions of original experimental, clinical, theoretical and historical
research from any field that contributes to the study of aphasia, including
Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, Neurology, Neuroscience, Linguistics,
History and Computational Modeling.

Submission categories include: platform papers; poster presentations; proposals
for symposia; and mini-workshops.  Submissions are accepted from both members
and non-members of the Academy of Aphasia and all submissions are given equal
consideration.
