Position No. 086606
A position of Assistant Professor in Modern Chinese Language and Culture
will be vacant from August 1, 2009 for a period of three years at the
Sønderborg campus of the University of Southern Denmark, Department of
Business Communication and Information Science. The successful applicant
will be affiliated with the newly founded programme in international
business and modern languages (Chinese) situated at the Sønderborg Campus. 

The successful applicant will be fluent in Chinese, both spoken and written.
Applicants will have research experience in one or more of the following
areas: 
- Chinese Language with a focus on business communication 
- Intercultural communication with a focus on China and Chinese speaking
societies 
- Politics and history of China and Asia 
- Chinese society and modern culture in China
Documented experience in teaching Chinese is required as is a strong
profile in one or more of the areas mentioned above.

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement
between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish confederation of
Professional Associations).

Applications will be assessed by an expert committee. When the evaluation
committee has submitted its report, the applicant will receive the part of
the evaluation that concerns him/her.

As part of the overall assessment of the applicant's qualifications, an
interview may be applied.
