I'm running a really short experiment as part of my Ph.D. research. I'm
hoping to get about 200 people to download the experiment and run it on
themselves and then e-mail me their results. It's a simple experiment (it
tests effects on your
short-term memory) and it takes about 8 minutes.

In the experiment, you'll be asked to read a list of sentences, then do
some easy addition and subtraction questions and then you'll be asked to
categorize the words that flash on the screen as old (occurred in the list
of sentences you read), or new (did not occur in the list of sentences you
read).

This is the website for the linguistics department of UBC. There is no
tracking of visitors done, so participation is confidential.

(The software will only run on Windows computers, sorry, I couldn't create
a Mac version.)
