Description:

The department of Language and Information Sciences at The University of
Tokyo invites applicants for a tenured full-time position of Associate
Professor (jun kyouju) or Lecturer (sen'nin koushi) with specialization in
a field (or fields) related to TEFL/ English Language Education.

Academic Responsibilities:

- Teach undergraduate English courses nourishing skills in reading,
writing, listening comprehension and oral presentation, as well as graduate
and undergraduate courses related to TEFL/English Language Education research
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research and thesis writing

Qualifications:

- An earned doctorate in a field related to TEFL/ English Language Education
- The ability to teach undergraduate English language courses in English
- Proficiency in Japanese adequate to perform multiple administrative duties
