Description:
At the Department of Linguistics/Neurolinguistics a
PhD Position (Salary Scale EG 13 TV-L/50 %)
is available for 2 years beginning immediately in the project 'Language
processing in Turkish children with German as a second language:
Neurophysiological and linguistic investigations.'
The project investigates the acquisition of the German plural in Turkish
children using event-related potentials (ERPs) as well as language analysis.
This project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF).
Due to the multiple aspects of the project, candidates with a completed degree
(MA or diploma) in linguistics, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related
field and a strong interest in child language development/second language
acquisition are invited to apply. The preparation of a PhD-dissertation is
expected. An excellent command of German and English are a necessity.
Native/near-native Turkish skills are a plus. Ideally, the candidate has
experience using event-related potentials.
