The 11th International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition (ICMPC11)
will be held at the University of Washington (Seattle) on Aug 23-27, 2010. This
conference includes papers on language-music relations.
Call for Papers
Online abstract submission is now open. The submission deadline is Dec 15th.

This conference is the largest gathering of researchers working on the
psychology of music, and is held every two years. It rotates between the US,
Europe,and Asia.
I would especially like to encourage graduate students interested in music
cognition to attend this meeting. Students are eligible to apply for travel and
research awards (young researchers are also eligible for the latter award; see
the above webpage for details).
Some suggested topic areas for abstracts are listed below. ICMPC11 also
welcomes proposals for symposia and/or workshops, as detailed on the website.
