Description:
The Department of Linguistics at the University of Connecticut anticipates
a visiting (non-tenure track) faculty position in Syntax for the spring
semester of 2010. Rank is open. Duties will include teaching two graduate
courses in theoretical syntax, and helping to advise Ph.D. students.
Candidates for this position must hold the degree of Ph.D. in linguistics,
and must have a strong record of research in theoretical syntax. Preference
will be given to those candidates whose qualifications most closely match
the teaching needs of the department.
Applications should include a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching
interests, and evidence of teaching ability, if available. The candidate
should also arrange for at least three letters of reference to be sent to
us directly. Where possible, materials should be sent electronically to
