The First Australian Workshop on Afro-Asiatic Linguistics (AWAAL), The 
University of Queensland, 11-13 September 2009

An international first Australian Workshop on Afro-Asiatic Linguistics (AWAAL). All disciplines welcome. Papers - by established scholars and promising graduate students from all over the globe (e.g. Australia, Cameroon, Canada, Eritrea, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Poland, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States) - will analyse languages and cultures belonging to the Afro-Asiatic family, e.g. Egyptian, Berber, Cushitic, Omotic, Chadic and Semitic.
