Meeting Description: 

The Sorbonne Nouvelle Graduate Linguistics Symposium or 'SNUGLS' will unite
graduate linguists and junior researchers working in English linguistics and
'sciences du langage' at the University of Paris 3. Ten speakers will adopt
various theoretical perspectives and cover a broad array of topics in
linguistics, including language acquisition, bilingualism, syntax, semantics and
gesture. SNUGLS will provide a relaxed environment for the University's students
and junior researchers to exchange methods and ideas, while forming
relationships that will lead to stimulating future events and inter-departmental
projects. This event will consolidate the series of graduate pro seminars that
Paris 3 has offered its junior scholars this year. 

All talks will take place in the Grand Amphi at the Institut du Monde
Anglophone, 5 rue de l'école de medecine, 75005 Paris. All speakers are
affiliated with the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris 3).
