that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.

Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international

Description:

Job description: The Center for Research on Bilingualism at Stockholm
University invites applications for the position of Full Professor in
Transnational Multilingualism. Transnational multilingualism is understood
here as comprising a focus on the impact of colonialism,
internationalization and globalization, historically and in contemporary

multilingual societies, and the way in which it is studied
sociolinguistically. The appointee will be expected to initiate and conduct
research in the area of transnational multilingualism; provide leadership
in promoting research and grant-seeking; actively procure external research
funding and contribute to cross-faculty programs; conduct lectures and
seminars on transnational multilingualism and bilingualism at undergraduate
and postgraduate levels, including Ph.D. course work, and engage in the
supervision of research students at either the Centre for Research on
Bilingualism or any other department in the Arts Faculty at Stockholm

multilingualism in a variety of geographical and societal contexts. The
ability of the appointee to contribute to academic and departmental
