Meeting Description:
The Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar (ATEG) explores the
role of grammar in our schools. Its membership consists of teachers and
scholars in the field of grammar instruction.
Call For Papers
We invite conference proposals that help teachers to make grammar
instruction durable, lively, and authentic. Proposals that are grounded in
classroom practice are especially appreciated.
The abstract length is 300-400 words.
The abstract format is variable, but the presenter must include the
necessary contact information such as name, affiliation, email, telephone,
and address.
The general topic of the conference is grammar teaching. This includes not
only presentations involving classroom methods and strategies for teaching
grammar but also insightful descriptivist approaches to grammar. Proposals
that are grounded in classroom practice and application are especially
appreciated. This year's theme is ''Enriching the Conversation.''
Notification of acceptance will occur by July 25, 2010.
