Twentieth Annual Meeting of the Society Chicago, IL

August 16-18, 2010

The Society for Text & Discourse is proud to announce it has reached a landmark occasion. The Society, officially formed in 1990, is celebrating its Twentieth Anniversary in 2010, and will hold its Twentieth Annual Meeting at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago, IL, Monday through Wednesday, August 16 - 18, 2010.

The Society for Text & Discourse is an international society of researchers who investigate all aspects of text and discourse including processing and analysis. The purpose of the Society is to foster and promote excellence in research, to enhance communication among researchers in different disciplines, and to contribute to the education and professional development of those in the field or entering the field. Therefore, we invite scholars from various disciplines (e.g., psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, learning sciences, artificial intelligence, education, sociology, anthropology, communications, philosophy, English, computer science, second language learning, poetics and others) to attend and participate in the 2010 Annual Meeting. 

Call for Papers:

We invite proposals for presentations of individual papers and posters. In addition, if you have suggestions for Symposia or Themed Sessions, please send them to the Program Chairs (Susan Goldman (sgoldman at uic.edu) or Jennifer Wiley (jwiley at uic.edu) by January 15, 2010.

The deadline for submitting proposals for the 2010 Annual Meeting is March 6, 2010.

A Program Review Committee will review the proposals, and authors will be notified regarding acceptance by April 1, 2010.
