Meeting Description:
Standard Arabic is exposed, almost daily, to challenges. It may not be an
exaggeration to say that it has turned into an open field for training for those
who want to exercise all sorts of criticism regardless of the prestigious status
of this language in the Arab culture. We often hear people speak about health
security, social security, military security and even food security. Shouldn't
there be a linguistic security as well?
Our national language is at stake, at school, in media, advertising, and even at
university. Consequently, we have chosen the topic of our seventh academic
conference at the faculty of arts at Zarqa Private University as National
linguistic security. The conference aims at reinforcing the role of Arabic
language as a means of knowledge, a tool for science and civilization and a
means of communication in various and different forms. The major objectives of
the conference may be summed up as follows:
1. Activate the international role of standard Arabic.

3. Activate the role of Arabic language academies as well as follow up the

institutions.
