Dear all,

We are currently working on the development of a research project 
which will result in short recorded samples of children telling and 
retelling stories in Hebrew. We would like to get as much information as 
possible out of these recordings and are considering analyzing the 
samples for:
- Frequency - mean frequency and range
- Volume - mean volume
- Rhythm rate - relationship between the durations of tonic and non-
tonic syllables
- Speech rate - syllables per minute
- Fluency - syllables 'stuttered' per minute 
 
We are concerned that the lack of uniformity in the length and content 
of the samples will severely limit any conclusions we can draw about 
these measures.
 
We would greatly appreciate any coments and suggestions you can 
offer us. Relevant references would also be great.
