Description:

The University of Hawaii at Manoa seeks an instructor of general
linguistics. Responsibilities include:
- Working under the general supervision of the Department Chair 
- Coordinating the Unit Mastery sections of the department's LING 100
(Language in Hawaii and the Pacific) and LING 102 (Introduction to the
Study of Language) courses 
- Teaching additional sections of LING 100, LING 102, or similar classes as
needed
- Coordinating undergraduate curriculum with other department faculty

Responsibilities also include supervising the Unit Mastery
room during testing hours, training and coordinating graduate assistants,
maintaining and increasing enrollment, revising and preparing reading and
testing materials (with approval of the curriculum committee), and
developing additional Unit Mastery courses as appropriate (with approval of
the curriculum committee).
