20th International Symposium on Theoretical and Applied Linguistics 
April 1-3, 2011

Invited Speakers include: David Britain (University of Bern), Joseph Emonds
(Tomas Bata University, Zlin), Georgios Giannakis (University of 
Thessaloniki), Geoffrey Leech (Lancaster University), Guiseppe Longobardi 
(University of Trieste), Sophia Marmaridou (University of Athens), Amalia 
Moser (University of Athens), and Nicos Sifakis (Hellenic Open University) 

Call for Papers

Abstracts are invited for talks or posters on any aspect of theoretical and 
applied linguistics. Abstracts (for talks or posters) for the main session 
should be submitted electronically at: 
http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/ISTAL20 
Deadline for submissions: December 30, 2010. All talks will be 20 minutes, 
followed by 10 minutes of discussion. Abstracts should be limited to one 
page (using 2,5cm margins on all sides and 11pt font size). Notification of 
acceptance: January 31, 2011

ISTAL 20 will also host a limited number of thematic sessions (workshops or 
panels). Prospective session organizers are invited to contact the  
organizing committee as soon as possible with a brief outline of the theme  
and purpose of the proposed special session (max. one page), but the 
whole package  including all abstracts should reach the Symposium  
committee by December 15, 2010 for final acceptance.
