Nuance Inc. is a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: NUAN) with offices around
the world. Nuance is the market-leading supplier of speech and imaging
solutions that are used to automate a wide range of manual processes -
increasing productivity, reducing costs and improving customer service.

Nuance Communications International BVBA is currently looking for a Greek
Language Specialist.  Your function will be to assist in the creation of a
state-of-the-art voice for use with the market-leading Vocalizer
text-to-speech (TTS) engine. Your job location is to be determined: either
in Ulm, Germany, or Merelbeke, Belgium. A remote mode of working is also
negotiable.

Role:
-Design of text corpora for recording and testing
-Supervising recordings with professional speakers for the creation of a
high-quality speech database
-Processing speech data
-Testing the TTS voice

Profile:
We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated people who want to learn about,
or increase their knowledge of, speech technology while making a real
contribution to a successful product. In terms of skills, we are seeking
people who can do most - but not necessarily all - of the following:
-Are a native (or near-native) speaker of Greek
-Are fluent in English (which is a strong plus)
-Studied Linguistics or a related discipline (experience with and knowledge
of Phonetics is a strong plus)
-Are computer literate  (no programming is required, but you should be
comfortable working with MS Windows)
