Meeting Description:
ISA-6 aims to bring together experts from ongoing and recent projects
concerned with the annotation or representation of linguistic and multimodal
semantic information, and its relation to the analysis, interpretation, and
generation of text, speech, and multimodal communicative behaviour. The
main focus of the workshop is on approaches, experiments, experiences,
problems, and proposals concerning the construction or application of
interoperable semantically annotated linguistic resources.
Call For Papers
Submissions are invited relating to topics in interoperable semantic
annotation, including the following:
- methodological aspects of semantic annotation
- experiments in or with semantic annotations
- semantic annotation and semantic-pragmatic interpretation
- semantic annotation, ontologies, and inferencing
- the semantics of semantic annotations
- issues in semantic annotation in specific domains:
--temporal entities and relations
--events and their interrelations
--spatial entities and relations
--dialogue acts and communicative functions
--semantic roles and predicate-argument structures
--discourse relations
--quantification and modification
- integrating annotations across domains
- best practices in semantic annotations
- semantic annotation project reports
- reports and discussions on current and planned ISO projects on
developing standards for semantic annotation in the project ISO 24617
Semantic Annotation Framework, Part 1: Time and events; Part 2:Dialogue
acts; Part 5: Discourse relations; Part 6: Spatial entities and relations; and
Part 7: Semantic roles.
Three types of submission are invited:
- long papers, maximally 12 pages
- short papers, maximally 4 pages
- commentaries, maximally 2 pages.
