Abstract:

Der vorliegende Band enthält Texte zur sog. sprachlichen
Elementarverwandtschaft, einer der Manifestationen der neben der
genetischen und der Arealverwandtschaft stehenden dritten grundlegenden
Form der Nähe von Sprachen. Obwohl die Elementarverwandtschaft und -
insbesondere vom operativen Gesichtspunkt aus - ihre Unterscheidung von
genetischen und konvergenziellen Korrespondenzen zwischen Sprachen ein
wichtiges Instrument der historisch-vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft
darstellen, wurde diesem Thema bisher kaum eine systematische
Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet.
