Title: Semantic Content Developer 
Reports to: Director of Engineering-Linguistics
Location:	SLC/Palo Alto

This is a great opportunity to join the rapidly growing business

the world's leading and most successful enterprises and by the top
government agencies. 

Attensity delivers the power of sophisticated data and semantic analytics
in the form of an integrated suite of easy-to-use business applications,
allowing business leaders, customer support personnel and customers to get
relevant and actionable answers fast. Attensity's ability to extract
valuable insight from free-form text anywhere offers organizations the
opportunity to leverage vast amounts of data previously left untapped. 

Attensity's enterprise application software enables commercial and
government organizations like RBC, Charles Schwab, Travelocity, JetBlue,
Lufthansa, Airbus, Medicare and others to transform unstructured text into
valuable, actionable information. With Attensity's applications,
organizations can use all of the data and information they have - not just
the structured data - to quickly identify important opportunities or
undesirable events that until now have been impossible to detect. 

Responsibilities:
-Design, implement and maintain taxonomies for various industry verticals
-Coordinate taxonomy mappings with support mechanisms
-Develop best practices around taxonomy development and implementation

Experience Required:
-Developed taxonomies and/or ontologies for enterprise customers
-Experience with BI, reporting tools, or automatic categorization systems
-3-5 Years Experience in a software development organization 

Optional:
-Advanced degree in Library Science, Linguistics, or related field
-Experience managing content partners
-Knowledge of regular expressions and scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby
