Dear LINGUIST List Subscribers,
I am Xiyan Wang from China, and a Graduate Assistant
at the LINGUIST List. LINGUIST strives to provide unique
resources and information for the whole linguistic
community, in addition to creating new projects and tools
to aid linguists in their research.
Please donate so that our free service for all the users
and the linguistic community can continue:
https://linguistlist.org/donation/donate/donate1.cfm
I have been working with other crew members as an editor
for Web Resources. My area, Dictionaries, has about 300
links to dictionaries which specialize in a variety of
languages and purposes. I am also a member of the LL-MAP
team, where I digitize language maps (http://llmap.org).
Along with making visual representations of geolinguistic
data available on one comprehensive site, LL-MAP has also
developed a feature which gives scholars the opportunity
to utilize our site for the creation of their own language
maps.
The idea of keeping the resources and services free and
easy to access for scholars, students and all users is
deeply held by LINGUIST List. However, we could not fully
achieve these goals without your generous donations every
year. Your donation can assist the many GA students continue
our efforts of providing better services to the linguistic
community. Even a donation of $5 or $10 is valuable to The
LINGUIST List. We need your help, please donate by clicking
this link:

Sincerely,
Xiyan Wang

The LINGUIST List is under the umbrella of Eastern Michigan University and as
such can receive donations through the EMU Foundation, which is a registered
501(c) Non Profit organization. Our Federal Tax number is 38-6005986. These
donations can be offset against your federal and sometimes your state tax return
(U.S. tax payers only). For more information visit the IRS Web-Site, or contact
your financial advisor.
Many companies also offer a gift matching program, such that they will match
any gift you make to a non-profit organization. Normally this entails your
contacting your human resources department and sending us a form that the
EMU Foundation fills in and returns to your employer. This is generally a simple
administrative procedure that doubles the value of your gift to LINGUIST, without
costing you an extra penny. Please take a moment to check if your company
operates such a program.
Thank you very much for your support of LINGUIST!
