Description:

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures seeks a specialist in
Spanish Applied Linguistics for a tenure-track appointment in Modern
Languages and Literatures at the assistant professor level, beginning
August 2012. Desired areas of expertise include: a) Second language
acquisition and b) Computer-assisted language teaching.

Faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have a strong commitment to
both scholarship and teaching. Thus, candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand
by August 2012, must show evidence of an active research program, and have
demonstrated excellence in teaching and near native fluency in Spanish and
English. The successful candidate must be able to teach, in both Spanish
and English, undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of Spanish
Linguistics.

curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a teaching portfolio
