Job Rank: Professor in the Rank of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
Specialty Areas: French Linguistics
Required Language(s): French (fra)
Description:
The Faculty of Arts & Philosophy invites applications for the full-time
position of Professor in the rank of Lecturer (Tenure Track system) or
Senior Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics (starting date: 1 October
2011). Responsibilities will include academic teaching, research and
service in the field of French Linguistics.

Linguistics.
- Candidates are required to have at least two years of postdoctoral
experience on October 1, 2011.

Modern French Linguistics (syntax, semantics or pragmatics), as is evident

Selection procedure:
1. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their curriculum vitae,

position in the rank of Senior Lecturer is in principle a tenured
appointment. In the case of a first appointment as professor ("ZAP" or
"Zelfstandig Academisch Personeel"), in the rank of Lecturer or Senior
Lecturer, however, the Board of Governors of Ghent University reserves the
right to grant a temporary, tenure track appointment for a maximum period
of three years, at the end of which, following an evaluation, a tenure
decision will be taken.
