We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.
To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at
http://linguistlist.org/LL/posttolinguist.cfm.

I am a Phd student at the University of Salamanca (Spain) and I am
investigating the influence that some properties of the words (such as
their frequency or the order at which they are learned) might have in
the ease at which they are produced as members of certain categories.
In order to carry out this investigation I have designed a few online
questionnaires that ask volunteers to estimate lists of words according
to their familiarity, typicality...
Nevertheless, it is been quite difficult to find participants for two of
these tests and because of that I would like to ask for your help. I would
need 25 native English speakers from the USA, between 18 and 30
years old, who do not speak Spanish for a similarity-rating task and a
translation-elicitation task. If it's not too much trouble, you could
forward the links you will find below to the students who fulfill the
requirements, and then they can complete them in their own time.
Please note that if they decide to take part in this survey all their data
will be kept anonymously.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
