Meeting Description:
'Applying Research and Teaching to Specialized Languages and Technology' is the theme selected to facilitate discussion of both the theoretical aspects and the practical applications that technological innovations offer researchers and reachers of specialized languages. This is an excellent forum for contributions to the following thematic fields: Discourse Analysis, Didactics and Language Acquisition, Information and Communications Technology, Terminology and Lexicology, Translation as well as Cognitive Linguistics and Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP).
Call for Papers:
Contributions are welcome for the following thematic fields: Discourse Analysis, Didactics and Language Acquisition, Information and Communications Technology, Terminology and Lexicology, Translation as well as Cognitive Linguistics and Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP).
All those interested in submitting proposals should do so before the 1st of March 2011. The main working languages will be Spanish, French or English, although proposals submitted in other languages may also be considered. Proposals must not exceed 300 words in length and must be sent only to the AELFE contact address: AELFE2011 at upv.es
Proposals will be reviewed by at least two members of the corresponding panel and/or by experts selected for this purpose. Authors will be notified as to whether their proposals are accepted or rejected and if any changes are necessary to conform to the established Conference norms.
Speakers will be allowed 20 minutes for their presentations, and then the floor will be open for questions for 10 minutes. Every effort will be made to group speakers according to the topics presented so as to facilitate scholarly discussion. All rooms are equipped with computers, projectors and internet connection for the speakers' convenience.
