Individuals interested in pursuing research in the history of the English
language under the auspices of the Middle English Grammar Project are
welcome to contact Professor Merja Stenroos (merja.stenroos at uis.no) or Dr
Jacob Thaisen (jacob.thaisen at uis.no) at the University of Stavanger.
Funding for a research stay in Norway would be sought from the Research
Council of Norway's Yggdrasil programme. Eligible are current doctoral
students and those who have successfully completed a doctorate within the
past six years.

The Yggdrasil mobility programme funds research stays of a duration of
between one and ten months; scholarships awarded under the current call are
to be taken up within the period of August 2011 to July 2012. The current
call is open to citizens of Council of Europe member states (except the
Nordic countries), as well as of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India,
Israel, Japan, Mexico and South Africa. The application deadline is 16
February.
