Meeting Description:

The 3rd colloquium of the British Association of Clinical Linguistics (BACL) will bring together clinicians, researchers, and teachers for a rich and varied selection of presentations which report research findings, discuss issues in the teaching and learning of speech & language therapy, and showcase the application of linguistics and phonetics in clinical practice. 

Call for Papers:

You are invited to submit an abstract which reports research, teaching & learning, or clinical application to speech & language therapy in one of the following four areas: 

1. Phonetics & phonology
2. Morphology & syntax
3. Pragmatics & conversation analysis
4. Bilingualism, multilingualism & sign languages 

Submission of Abstracts:

Please email two copies of your abstract (one anonymous and one named) to N.Whitworth at leedsmet.ac.uk no later than Friday 21 January 2001, stating ''BACL 2011 Abstract Submission'' in the subject line of your email. 

Submission Guideline:

Abstracts must be in either MS Word (doc or docx) or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format. The anonymous abstract should contain the title, the abstract text, and the area (see above). Please also indicate, if you have a preference for either POSTER or ORAL presentation. Please use the following file name format: surname-initial-anon, e.g. smith-j-anon.docx. The named abstract should contain the title, your name and affiliation, the abstract text. Please use the following file name format: surname-initial-named, e.g. smith-j-named.docx.

Abstract Formatting Guidelines:

Abstracts should be no more than one A4 page in length.
Line spacing 1.5
Title text: Arial, 14pt, bold
Body text: Arial, 12pt  
Paragraph: no indent, leave one clear line between paragraphs
 
Abstract Review and Acceptance:

All abstracts which conform to the above guidelines will be anonymously reviewed by two reviewers. You will be informed by the organising committee if your abstract has been accepted for oral or poster presentation by Monday 14 February.
