seeks candidates for
Visiting Assistant Professor
The Department of Second Language Studies announces a one-year visiting
position for a candidate with a Ph.D. in Second Language Studies or closely
related field, an interest in language teaching methodology, and experience
teaching English to adults. The successful candidate will teach two courses
each semester, including a TESOL Practicum for graduate students in the
fall and an undergraduate course about teaching methods for ESL in the
spring. We anticipate that the other courses will be at the graduate level.
Documented excellence in teaching is required. The ability to teach a
graduate-level course on language learning technology is desirable, but not
required. We will interview at TESOL and AAAL. Applicants should send a
statement of interest, curriculum vitae, sample publications in the field
of Second Language Studies, and three letters of recommendation promptly to
Professor Kathleen Bardovi-Harlig at the address below.
