iSentium Technologies is engaged in the development of data mining
technologies on various social media data streams. The current goal of
iSentium is the development of applications tailored to the needs of
decision makers in finance.

The company is currently seeking a freelance/contract Java developer with
skills in:

-  Design and development experience, minimum 5 years 
-  Experience with JESS Inference Engine
-  Strong Java skills
-  DBMS with emphasis on SQL and couchdb
-  Scripting in Linux Environment
-  Develop a rule-based/inference engine experience, including:		
*  A knowledge base and acquisition system
*  An inference engine
*  Convert data into rules/hypotheses stored in a knowledge base used by
the inference engine
-  experience in the following area's a plus: 
-  Analysis in equities, bonds, commodities and forex

The company is mainly a Linux shop, so familiarity and comfort with Linux
environments is a basic requirement. Ability to read and understand
technical information relating to aspects of computer software development
in the English language is a requirement.

Education:  Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or
engineering from a recognized university or relevant Technical Institute.
Graduate degree in finance a big plus.
