Meeting Description:
The California State University Fullerton Linguistics Student Association
presents the 20th Annual Linguistics Symposium. This year we have invited
four distinguished linguists from varying backgrounds: Director of the Living
Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages, Dr. Gregory Anderson;
American Communications Professor at USC and Hollywood Linguistic
Consultant, Dr. Paul Frommer; Pomona College's Assistant Professor of
Linguistics and Cognitive Science, Dr. Michael Diercks; and UCLA's
Assistant Professor of Linguistics, Dr. Robert Daland. In addition to our four
special guests, CSUF students will also be presenting research. This event
will be held on campus Monday April 18, 2011 from 8:00am to 4:00pm in the
Titan Theater.

This Year the LINGUIST List hopes to raise $67,000. This money will go to
help keep the List running by supporting all of our Student Editors for the
coming year.
