For Workshop Dutch Linguistics in Amsterdam. 
Deadline: 15 February 2011

Dutch without any doubt is one of the best documented languages in the 
world. One reason for this is that traditionally the number of linguists per 
capita is relatively high in the Low Countries; but also scholars from all 
around the world who are not (native) speakers of Dutch have provided 
insight into the structure of the language. This workshop aims to bring 
together these scholars to discuss new work on any aspect of Dutch 
linguistics, including, but not limited to, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, 
phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. It is 
our goal to promote high quality discussion on all aspects of Dutch 
linguistics. The workshop will also mark the beginning of work on the so-
called 'Taalportaal', a big online grammatical description of Standard Dutch 
(as well as Frisian).

The workshop is organized by the department of variation linguistics of the 
Meertens Instituut of the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The language of the conference will be English.
