Full Professor in Computational Linguistics:

The Institute of General and Applied Linguistics and Phonetics (ILPGA) of
the Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris 3, a stone's throw away from Notre Dame de
Paris, seeks to fill a tenured position of a full professor of linguistics
starting in fall 2011.

The candidate is expected to work on very large corpora in the perspective
of statistical analyses, text mining, grammar induction, annotation
methods.  The primary specialization should be in work on large written or
spoken corpora of various languages, including possibly data mining and
grammar induction or other statistical approaches.

The application procedure for university positions in France requires
candidates either to be in possession of the 'Habilitation à diriger des
recherches' or to already hold an equivalent position abroad. The usual
conditions for this equivalence are a proof of active research, of
supervision of student research, and of good knowledge of French.
