Synopsis:
Do you have a vision for better and faster language learning? EF is seeking
passionate applied linguists to lead initiatives in the development of
blended learning in its schools worldwide.

The Role:
We're looking for energetic and innovative language education specialists
to join our worldwide operations team in Zurich to contribute to the growth
and success of EF's pioneering language learning system used in our study
abroad programs worldwide. As a key member of the central academic team,
you will design and create learning experiences and media that combine the
best of teaching and technology. You will contribute to the development of
language proficiency frameworks, curricula and assessment tools; publish
educational media and learning applications; lead teacher training and
product launch initiatives; support EF's global sales offices as an
academic liaison and public speaker; represent EF in client meetings, major
tenders, and conferences; and spearhead research initiatives. With schools
in exciting destinations around the world from Cape Town to Beijing, the
desire and ability to travel internationally are essential.

Requirements:
-  PhD or EdD in Applied Linguistics or closely related field; Master's and
Diploma level candidates will also be considered
-  5-10 years experience in English language teaching
-  Evidence of leadership experience, innovative curriculum design and
materials development
-  Excellent organizational skills and project management experience
-  Outstanding writing and editing ability
-  Familiarity with blended learning and teaching and the use of new media
in teaching
-  Knowledge of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
and its use in designing syllabi and assessments
-  Excellent mastery of English, knowledge of additional languages a plus
-  EU/Swiss passport or existing ability to work in Switzerland
