Australex 2011
November 28 - 29, 2011
Australian National University, Canberra

The theme for Australex 2011 is 'Dictionaries Inside and Outside the Classroom'. 

Up to two student bursaries are available to help full-time students from Australia and New Zealand attend the conference and present a paper. 

Call for Papers:

Paper offers may address a wide range of areas associated with the educational and cultural roles of dictionaries. Topics might include: learners dictionaries, dictionaries in indigenous communities, online dictionaries, the present state of the descriptive/prescriptive debate, specialist dictionaries, dictionary entry style, phraseology, language policy and lexicography, terminology and terminography, and the social and cultural functions of regional dictionaries. 

If you would like to submit a paper, poster or panel contribution, please send an abstract of no more than 400 words to adam.smith at mq.edu.au by 1 July, 2011. 

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by 15 July, 2011.
