The registration deadline for the 2011 Linguistic Institute, to be
held July 2-August 7 at the University of Colorado at Boulder, is fast
approaching. Online registration for the 79 one-credit hour Institute
courses, including many courses on sociolinguistics, field methods,
typology, syntactic/semantic pragmatic theory, cognitive science and
computational linguistics, is open through June 1 at the Institute
website: https://verbs.colorado.edu/LSA2011/index.html. Courses are
being taught by over 100 outstanding international visiting faculty
members. In addition, more than 20 affiliated workshops and conference
meetings will be held during Institute 2011.

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a summer on one of the nation's
most beautiful campuses, in the heart of a uniquely urbane and vital
mountain city (acclaimed by Bon Appétit magazine as America's Foodiest
Town 2010), and attend lectures on cutting edge approaches to
linguistics from leaders in the field. The popular courses are filling
up fast and are approaching their room-size limits, so if you are
interested, please register as soon as possible.
