Abstract:

Hasta ahora, las cuestiones lexicológicas del judeo-español se han tratado 
casi exclusivamente en los glosarios que acompañan ediciones de textos, ya 
que los diccionarios a excepción del de Nehama - se reducen a listas de 
entradas con traducciones sin más. Dadas estas circunstancias, el Instituto 
de Historia de los Judíos en Alemania organizó un Simposio Internacional 
(Hamburgo, 7-9 de septiembre de 2008) con la intención de cubrir esta laguna 
en los estudios del judeoespañol.

Esta obra reúne catorce aportaciones de lingüistas y filólogos prestigiosos 
del judeoespañol junto a jóvenes investigadores prometedores en este 
campo. Las investigaciones giran entorno a los siguientes temas: 

I. Contactos de lenguas, historia de la lengua; II. Usos textuales y 
argumentativos del léxico; III. El léxico de autores; IV. Variedades léxicas: 
sexolecto y vocabulario tabú; V. Lexicografía judeoespañola.
Las contribuciones se ofrecen en español, judeoespañol, francés e inglés y 
tienen por objetivo contribuir a un mejor conocimiento del léxico y de la 
lexicografía judeoespañoles.

Winfried Busse es profesor de lingüística románica en la Universidad Libre de 
Berlín. Desde hace más de veinte años se dedica al estudio del judeoespañol 
y publica las colecciones «Sephardica» (con H. Kohring y M. Shaul) y 
«Judenspanisch» en el marco de la revista «Neue Romania».

Michael Studemund-Halévy es lingüista e investigador científico en el 
Instituto de Historia de los Judíos en Alemania (Hamburgo). Especialidades: 
Psicolingüística, lengua y literatura sefardíes, arte sefardí y la diáspora de los 
judeoconversos. Entre sus publicaciones recientes figuran dos ediciones 
críticas del teatro judeoespañol.
