The Center for General and Comparative Linguistics of the University of Wroclaw and the Institute of English Studies of the University of Warsaw are pleased to announce the 7th Meeting of the Generative Linguistics in Poland (GLiP-7).

'Generative Linguistics in Poland' (GLiP) is a series of conferences on various aspects of generative linguistics, created by Piotr Bański (University of Warsaw) and Adam Przepiórkowski (Institute of Computer Science, Polish Academy of Sciences). See http://generative-linguistics.pl/ for details.

GLiP meetings began as an attempt to bring together (i) Polish generative linguists, (ii) generative linguists working in Poland, as well as (iii) generative linguists working on Polish. However, the scope of GLiP has never been limited just to papers or authors belonging to the three categories. This year's GLiP meeting is a continuation of this idea. 

This year's GLiP conference will be preceded by a PhD and Graduate Student Workshop on Friday, December 2, 2011.

Preliminary Registration (Important!):

If you are (tentatively) interested in taking part in this conference, send your email address to GLiP-7 Organizing Committee (glip.wroclaw at gmail.com), so that we can create a mailing list. Most future announcements, changes, etc., will be mailed only to registered prospective participants (and not to general linguistic lists). Apart from that all the updates about the conference will be posted on the conference website.

Registration Fee:

Faculty: 200 PLN (= approx. 50 EUR) 
Students: 100 PLN (= approx. 25 EUR)

The fee covers the conference dinner as well as snacks and refreshments during coffee breaks.

Accommodation:

Hotel Tumski has a special rate for GLiP participants, 200 PLN/night for a single room. To book a room with this rate, fill in the form that will soon be made available on the conference website and email or fax it to the hotel. The rooms will be available for booking at this rate until October 31, 2011.
