Meeting Description:

The Department of Linguistics, Addis Ababa University is proud to host the 4th International Workshop on Linguistic Landscape which is scheduled to be held from 22 - 24 February 2012. 

The 4th Linguistic Landscape Workshop is expected to entertain a diversified research output and scholarly articles. 

2nd Call for Papers: 

The deadline for abstract submission for the 4th International Workshop on Linguistic Landscape has been postponed to 20 October 2011. We have to postpone it once again due to a number of requests coming from colleagues who wish to apply. Note that notification of acceptance will be made 3 November 2011.

Priority consideration will be given to papers that specifically address the conference topic. 

Submission Guidelines: 

We invite anonymous abstracts for 20-minute individual papers and a 10-minute discussion (additional time will be allowed for questions). All abstracts should be in English with glosses or translations for words or examples in any other language. Each abstract, including the title and any data in figures or tables, must not exceed 500 words. The 500-word abstract should be single-spaced and in a font no smaller than 11 pt. A separate page should accompany the abstract with name, institutional affiliation, and contact information, including e-mail address and abstract title. 

Abstracts must be submitted as a PDF or Microsoft Word document. Abstracts containing special characters must be submitted in a PDF format, preferably as an e-mail attachment. Individuals who do not have regular access to e-mail may submit one copy of their abstract by regular mail on a compact disc. Faxes will not be accepted.
