Building towards our application for .ECO - a new Top Level Domain on 
the web, Big Room Inc. (www.bigroom.ca) is seeking language experts 
in the official UN languages to provide  ''expert opinion'' letters on the 
meaning of the term: ''eco''.

Requirements
- An opinion as to the accepted meaning(s) of ''eco'' in the language 
(both direct and translated use)
- If the terms are used directly, what is the context? (e.g., to describe 
companies, or products, or people?)
- Is eco commonly used as a pre-fix in this context? (e.g., eco-friendly)
- Are there other terms used to describe something as ''environmentally 
friendly'' (like ''green'' or ''environmental'' in English)
- How common is the usage of eco in your opinion?

Languages
The languages we seek are:
-  Arabic
-  Chinese (Mandarin)
-  Russian
-  Spanish

Timing
- Required by November 15, 2011
- Letter templates will be provided
- Results will form part of Big Room's application to run the .ECO 
internet domain for the global sustainability community. See 
www.doteco.org for more information.
- This is a voluntary (unpaid) contribution in support of the application 
for .ECO. You will be credited in the application.
