Meeting Description:
Lost in linguistics - Current linguistic theories in a contrastive perspective
The aim of the course is to draw a comparative survey of the most important theoretical orientations within contemporary linguistic research. The course will consist of a general survey of the different theoretical views in the field and more specific lectures about the different subfields (phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics/pragmatics).

Semantics: To be announced
The lectures are open, but only formally enrolled PhD-students can obtain ECTS credits for the course. The lectures will take place at the University of Oslo.
Dates: Octobre, 10 - 14, 2011

Places: 20
The application should include:
- CV
- A half-page description of your PhD-project (including your theortical framework)
Application deadline: September 15, 2011

No tuition fee. Travel and accommodation at own expenses.
NB! Regarding the accommodation, though, we are also trying to establish (free) 'hospitality network': we still don't know how many places we will be able to offer, but it is important to let us know as soon as possible if such a solution is desired, in order for us to be able to get an idea of the demand and the number of places needed.
