Description:
The Department of Romance Studies at Boston University seeks a tenure-
track Assistant Professor of Spanish and Linguistics (http://ling.bu.edu/)
to teach courses in the linguistic analysis of Spanish and in general
linguistics, beginning September 2012 (pending budgetary approval).
Requirements include a Ph.D. in Linguistics, with expertise in at least one of
the core areas of linguistic theory (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax,
or semantics) and teaching/research specialization in an area of Spanish
linguistics (interest in Hispanic Bilingualism in the U.S. or Spanish in the
Americas would be especially welcome); demonstrated excellence in
research and in undergraduate and graduate level teaching and advising; and
native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English. Salary
commensurate with experience.
