Meeting Description:

Los integrantes del Proyecto de ALFAL Cuestiones Lingüísticas en Relación con la Diáspora Latinoamericana proponen continuar las actividades del Proyecto en el II ALFALito, que tendrá lugar en la ciudad de Nueva York el día 28 de septiembre de 2012, en el Centro de Estudios de Post-Grado (Graduate Center) de la City University of New York (CUNY). La coordinadora de la jornada será Rocío Raña Risso, quien también organizó la sesión en nuestro congreso en Alcalá de Henares el pasado junio, y el I ALFALito realizado en Nueva York en septiembre de 2009. Los organizadores, además de Rocío, serán los profesores Michael Newman y Ricardo Otheguy, de la misma CUNY. 

El ALFALito será patrocinado por el programa de lingüística (Ph.D. Program in Linguistics), así como por el Research Institute for the Study of Language in Urban Society (RISLUS), también de CUNY. Las actividades de la jornada se llevarán a cabo en español o en portugués. 

Convocatoria de Presentaciones:

Se invita a la presentación de resúmenes de 200 a 250 palabras para realizar ponencias de 20 minutos sobre una de las siguientes áreas de investigación: (a) psico-lingüística, (b) sociolingüística del lenguaje, (c) sociolingüística de la sociedad, (d) lingüística aplicada, siempre en relación con la diáspora latinoamericana, definida como comunidades de latinoamericanos que viven fuera de su país natal, como por ejemplo en América del Norte, Europa u otros países latinoamericanos. Dichas comunidades son de interés debido a las situaciones de contacto de lenguas o dialectos que generan, así como por los temas sociales, educativos y lingüísticos que supone su adaptación a nuevas sociedades. (Destacamos que no es suficiente con que el investigador trate sobre cuestiones tocantes al español o al portugués desde su propia residencia en una de las comunidades diásporicas, sino que éstas deberán de constituir el tema y la base de datos de la investigación.)

El resumen debe estar escrito en español o portugués, las lenguas oficiales de ALFAL, y también de este ALFALito. Las ponencias también serán en español o portugués.
