Meeting Description:
The Italian department of Leiden University and the LUCL are happy to
announce the next Italian Dialect Meeting (CIDSM + Italian Dialects in
Diachrony), which will take place in Leiden on 24-26 May 2012.
The Italian Dialect Meeting aims at bringing together Italian
dialectologists from all linguistic subdisciplines working on any aspect
of Italian dialectology. Following the tradition established by the
Cambridge Italian Dialect Syntax Meeting and the Italian Dialects in
Diachrony, we encourage discussion between dialectologists with
different views on dialects in the hope of creating an extended
platform for the study of dialects which goes beyond the local centre
and particular approach.
Our keynote speakers will be:
Birgit Alber (University of Verona)
Silvio Cruschina (University of Manchester)
Franco Fanciullo (University of Pisa)
Carla Marcato (University of Udine)
Mair Parry (University of Bristol)
Diego Pescarini (University of Padua)
